MM 21 Project - Banners by Kristy Lea

Banners, a quilt by our very own Creative Director and the design wizard behind Quiet Play, features in Make Modern Issue 21. This quilt was designed to showcase the beautiful prints in the Project Dovetail collection, a collaborative collection by all the Michael Miller Fabrics designers.

Kristy uses her signature technique, foundation paper piecing, to create this quilt with precision. The centres of the stars are the perfect opportunity for fussy cutting, and the star points show off prints. This is a great example of how coordinating solids can extrend a collection of prints beautifully.
